I've been thinking alot the past few weeks. Every day when I commute in the train , I'll see all kinds of people...selfish and can't be bothered people....
So I was thinking about some really heavy stuffs and asked dear:
- How do we want to bring up our boy in this world which is full of 'baddies'"?
- How do we teach our boy to be compassionate/ kind yet won't be easily bullied by people?
- How do we teach our boy to be confident yet not conceited?
- How do we instill good values in our boy when we were both not brought up in the most condusive environment?
The discussions we had were pretty interesting and we started thinking really far ahead....
We also thought about:
- When should we allow our boy to start dating?? (18 years old??? No???)..haha
- When should we allow our boy to start bringing his gf home? (21 years old seems like a good age!!!)
- When should we allow our boy to stay overnight in chalets (18 years old!!!)
- How do we teach our boy to be responsible and not go around breaking ppl's heart?
And the list just goes on and on....Isn't it amazing?? Prior to becoming parents, these thoughts did not occurred to us before yet now we are thinking about all this issues that used to bugged our parents during our grown up phase...
Looking at the colorful 'track records' me and dear hold, I am starting to fear that he may follow in our footsteps...hahahah...
But anyway, we'll just focus on giving him a happy childhood...nurture him and give him all the affections we yearned so much when we were small children...
He'll grown up just fine.......

Kids don't listen but they WATCH. So nagging too much doesn't help. Being a role model (using your own actions) helps alot in instilling proper/good conduct in the child. That's what I learnt. =)
No worries! Have fun in the process of bringing up your own kid alright?
