I was 'admiring' my baby bump in the mirror the other night and to my horror of horrors...i spy a few 'faint lines' at the bottom of my tummy peering back at me!!!!!

As I am one month away from my due date, I did not expect to discover stretch marks at this stage of my pregnancy...but alas...I could not escape the fate of almost all preggies..the much dreaded STRETCHMARKS...

I immediately text dear and told him: "I gloated too early, I just saw stretchmarks on my tummy!!!!!!".....

Last weekend, I asked the godsisters to show me their stretchmarks and I was pretty surprised that the marks are still pretty prominent even though they have given birth more then 10 years ago....

Hmm, I am not really affected by it, just a tad 'surprised' to see them popped out so late into my pregnancy....

Anyway, I've already pre-warned dear about the saggy bits and stretchmarks 'to come'....

Motherhood does comes with a price, don't they? hehe....

I'm sure the stretchmarks aren't as bad as you think they are.

Hey, must tell you that I saw my colleague's tumm (she gave birth 1 mth ago), it is flawless!! stetch-marks free and the skin is still quite firm. I was impressed and envious, hoping mine will be like that... but I too, saw some faint marks on my tumm. Don't 'despair' ok..

How come you got stretch marks even before u give birth? I thought the marks only show after you give birth and your tummy shrinks?

hey Mel, the stretchmarks will be visible once your skin is stretched...it's red in color when it first appear. Once you've given birth, the marks will turned silvery white in color. *shudders*
